This quotes goes great with what I am currently living.  On Tuesday 5/29 I flew from San Francisco to Miami.  The flight from hell but that is another story.

What I want to lead up to is that even though I was in the air and totally disconnected from my world, my business continued to produce money and leads.

It is just a great feeling; to be able to travel whenever you feel like it and take your business with you.

So I’ll give you the blueprint for making this a reality.

It’s called the Smart Marketing Blueprint and you ought to print this off, and put it next to your computer. marketing strategies

Here it is:

  1. Give people what they want.
  2. Develop or sell products and services that appeal to your specific market.
  3. Make sure those items have the highest profits possible.
  4. Develop marketing systems that help you identify the right prospects and then communicate the right message to them.
  5. Reach and sell to those prospects fast and make the largest profits.
  6. Resell to your customers on a regular basis.
  7. Create sales messages that build strong bonds with your customers.
  8. Position yourself so you have unique selling position (even before you actually do!)
  9. Create offensive marketing strategies that let you control the selling process.
  10. Make specific offers to your customers on an ongoing basis.

Let’s take a closer look.

Number one is to give people what they want. Sounds easy enough, but I have seen marketers in love with a certain product that has lousy conversions but nonetheless they want to sell it and can’t understand why sales are lousy.marketing strategies

Number Two on our list is to develop products and services that are appealing to a specific market. Again, it comes back to knowing and having an intimate understanding of your marketplace.  Most companies are doing “me too” kinds of things – they’re all following the follower. The more you’re aware of that, the more you’ll see it. There are exceptions, but those are the guys who are able to see what their clients really want. You need to become one of them to make the biggest profits.

Number Three is making sure those items have the largest profit margin possible. This is one of the main secrets behind the success of many affiliates.

Number Four is to develop marketing systems that identify the right prospects and communicate the right messages to them. A marketing system is simply a process that automatically attracts and resells customers again and again for you.

Number Five is that you’ve got strive to reach, and sell, to those people fast enough to make the largest profit you possibly can. Again, most businesses don’t have any real strategy for this part.

Ok, I have given 5 of the 10 I have on my list and you should jot down as well.

Fear.

Fear in all it’s forms, fear of failure, fear of cold calling, fear of what people will think of you, fear of looking back – everything affecting you can be traced back to some fear.

There’s a reason why walking bare-foot on hot coals at 2,000 degrees is a famous event of Tony Robbins’ personal development programs.

Now a household iron is only 700 degrees, and if you touch that, your skin will burn. Yet, Roger Salam in the video above has seen everyone from age 4 to age 84 walk on hot coals.

Most people think this is impossible. Yet, 30 seconds later, they have proven they can do it. This is called experiential knowledge, and no one can take it away from you. Once proven you can do something, you’ll never again have the doubt.

Our fear takes over and causes us to tell ourselves that we can not do things.  That they are impossible.  But do you think that if you could prove you can walk on hot coals, that you would be a little bit less doubtful about your ability to do some simple task in your business?

WORK THE HARDEST ON YOURSELF

We have seen and heard of miracle stories such as paraplegics who were told by doctors that they’d never walk again. Yet, they came back slowly, one day at a time.

The first step is always losing your fear and believing that you can do what you otherwise would have thought you can’t do.

Building a business, whether it’s in real estate, online marketing or any other endeavor, is actually easy. Our fear of the unknown causes us to tell ourselves that it’s hard, but it’s really not.

What is truly hard is personal development. If you work the hardest on yourself, you can eventually become the kind of person who attracts success effortlessly, instead of chasing it.

Think of becoming someone who sits on a board of directors. That job is never advertised. It’s only recruited through personal phone calls. What kind of person do you have to be to get those phone calls?

Focus on yourself.   Work on becoming a fearless person, and the material results in business will automatically follow.

Seek knowledge from people who have walked the road of success, and learn how to model their “thinking patterns”.  It is not easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

Tweak The Ketchup But Don’t Make It Green Or Purple

Do you know what the secret is to making massive profits is?

The big secret to making massive profits is to get your best customers to buy from you again and again, for the maximum profit per transaction.

If you can do this with a large enough group then you can kiss your financial worries good bye.  It’s that simple. Maximum profitability comes from reselling to your existing customers.  That is the secret key!

The solution is to keep finding new ways to give your customers the something similar to what you gave them before, but with a new twist added each time. online marketing

If your products and services are thought as old hat, your customers will be bored—and bored people never buy. There’s a saying that goes, “whatever’s current creates currency.” It’s true.

Now you have to be careful because if the product or service that you are offering is too new and different than what they’re used to, they won’t buy then, either.

Many will be afraid to do so. Well then, you have to develop and deliver new products and services that seem innovative and exciting, but nonetheless contain familiar themes your customers are already comfortable with buying from you.

If you sell ketchup, don’t suddenly try to sell mustard. Sell them new varieties of ketchup. Even then, don’t make it too different! online marketing

A slightly spicier red ketchup will sell better than even the tastiest green or purple ketchup (proven fact).

What I am trying to say is, you then need to offer them old wine in new bottles. Most people are searching for variations on a theme, not a completely new theme.

Always think about this: They have already proven their interest in what your selling by giving you their money in the first place. People let you know what’s what with their pocketbooks.

Take a close look at the products, services and promotions that have brought you money and realize that somewhere within those products, services, and marketing campaigns are the things that your best customers (and prospects just like them) value the most.

Study this and determine what those common themes are, and then consider adding those to the items you develop in the future.

The newness will attract your customer’s attention, while the old and familiar will hold that attention by making them feel comfortable with your new offer.

When you learn how to apply this idea properly, you can keep offering your best clients and customers the same basic types of products and services again and again—which means all the prep work is easier.

You can reuse a lot of the same sales materials, simply tailoring them to the new offerings. You gain enormous leverage because your “new” products and services are really your “old” products and services with new twists.

I learned this from my mentor James. He is very good at doing exactly this and making money every time.

Keep tweaking and adding new elements to your best products, services and promotions. Constantly be looking for ways to make your best products and services appear new, different, and special.  That way, you can keep using the sales materials you’ve used in the past, with slight (but vital) modifications to make them look and feel different.

Keep giving them more of what you know they want the most, and you’ll make more money with less work.

Get Your Internet Idea Done And Published

I’m not sure who first invented the saying, “Good enough is good enough.”

I learned this at a seminar I attended,  and is so true when it comes to executing projects in your business.

It applies when you’re creating products.

When you’re creating a website.                  internet ideas

When you’re writing a blog post or email.

When you’re putting together a webinar.

And just about any other task in your business.

Especially when you’re in the startup phase trying to get your business off the ground, and trying to prove your concept.

It doesn’t mean you purposely launch things in a sloppy manner.  Or that you don’t care about quality.

But rather, it means you’d rather have rapid execution with ‘good enough’ quality in the beginning.  This is just to get your business moving forward.  You can always come back later and perfect things.  And it’s much easier to perfect something which is in motion and has momentum… where you can see real results coming in, then trying to get something perfect which is at a standstill.

Natural Perfectionist Step Aside

If you’re a natural perfectionist like a lot of people are, then this mode of operating can be really hard.

You don’t want to release things which seem half-done.  And you want to figure out all the answers, before you take action.

I get it.  That was me for a number of years.  Always cramming my head with more information, more knowledge.  Starting a lot of things (but never finishing them).

Now what I have come to realize that waiting to get things perfect was just procrastination out of fear.

I admitted to myself all of this was just my procrastinating.  I was just making excuses, because I was afraid to take action and do something which wouldn’t be perfect.

So I came up with a solution;  I went and announced publicly to my entire list I’d be hosting a series of webinars on email marketing over the next 8 days.

A webinar every single night, starting at 9pm.

My plan was, I would record each webinar as a module for my course… and by the end of the 8 days I’d have my course.

It Was Do Or Die

When I made the announcement about the webinars, I had not prepared a single module.

And 9 hours before the first webinar, guess what?

I still had not done a single module!  (I am the master at procrastinating).

Naturally, I start to panic because dozens of people had registered for the webinar.  But now I had no choice.

So in the same way I used to cram frantically for exams back in college the night before… I applied that same work ethic in this situation.

The webinar was started 5 minutes late, and the slide presentation was far from perfect.  But it was good enough.

And at the end, people actually told me it was a really, really good webinar.

Had I not scheduled that webinar and created public accountability with a deadline… the course never would have got done.  And I bet my business would be much much smaller today.

Trust me on this;

It’s better you execute fast and please the majority of your customers, than trying execute perfectly (and slow) and please 99% of customers.

You’ll never please them all regardless.  (And forget about pleasing 100% of customers, 100% of the time.  It’s not going to happen).

With speed of execution, you get cash flow.  You’re then in a better place to hire people to improve what you already have.

My challenge to you today is to do something similar.

Announce to your customers on Facebook, or through an email broadcast that you’re going to release some new content. It could be an information product, or a new series of videos, or a webinar.

But most importantly, announce it with a date so you have a real deadline.

It will force you to put aside the excuses and just get the job done.

I was thinking today how we are always competing with someone in one way or another. It is just a human characteristic. Very normal, but not all of us see it that way. When we feel someone is competing with us, we take it personal and get all up tight about.

I look at competition as a very positive thing.  Competition means people are making money.  It means the market is big enough to support a lot of businesses.  It means there are plenty of opportunities for joint ventures over the coming years.

It’s very similar to the internet marketing industry.  Every day, 1,000’s of people start an online business.

Most fail of course.  But it’s not due to the market being too crowded – it’s because they don’t know how to run a business, plus the image of an online business is “put it on the internet and it will sell”. Not true! Would be entrepreneurs can’t figure it out before they get discouraged and quit.

The main reason they don’t make it, is they can’t get their marketing right.  Either their offers don’t convert, or they don’t know how to get traffic.

Believe it or not, your first sales are super important.  They actually set the tone for your business.

Me personally, I like to think of my business as an information marketing business and I direct my marketing to represent what I am selling.  Information products that when implemented correctly can make my buyers a lot of money just as it has for me.

Tips To Stay Ahead Of Your Competition

  • Develop a winning offer (whatever you are selling needs to convert/sell)
  • Map out a sales funnel
  • Create high quality marketing videos
  • Professionally written sales letter
  • A written blog
  • Autoresponder with followup email sequenceonline sales competition

Of course, these marketing assets don’t make money by themselves. You need to get them in front of people.

The quickest way to get traffic to your offers is with paid traffic. But let’s say you are like me. I had to start with the cheapest traffic around.  FREE TRAFFIC.

Easy as 1-2-3.  My mentor James turned me on to all his free traffic moves and yes! they did work. Takes some time but it does work. Traffic started coming to my offers and I started to sell and my bank account has been growing ever since.

7 Tips On How To Be A Better Marketer and Reach Your Target Audience

Hey guys Billie Scott here with a topic I want to discuss with you.  You guessed it, marketing.

In almost every industry, the people who climb to the top and separate themselves from the herd are going to be the ones who successfully advertise on a regular basis to attract new leads. Unfortunately, most business owners don’t know how to do this.  Do you agree or disagree?

Now we don’t have a crystal ball to predict the outcome of ever marketing campaign but experience does give us a sense of what may work.  You and I as marketers run ads and should keep a close watch on what is producing for us and what is wasting our dollars.

Here Are 7 Things You Need To Look For, To Help Determine If Your Offers Will Be Successfulhow to be a better marketer

  1.  Your sales copy must be loaded with benefits that are important to your prospect. Make a list of the top reasons why your prospects want what you’re offering them. Remember, sell the sizzle not the steak. Benefits, not features.
  2.   Protect them with a strong money-back guarantee. The more you take the pressure away from your prospect, the more likely they will be to respond to your offer. There may be times when you need to have a “no-refund” policy. But especially when you’re offering a low-cost offer to attract a new customer, give them an “easy out” if they’re not happy with their purchase. Don’t be afraid to offer free gifts that they get to keep even if they get a refund. Strong guarantees make you more money, because they increase your conversions.
  3. Make sure your sales copy flows and reads easily. You don’t want people to struggle to understand the offer you’re making them. K.I.S.S. – Keep It Simple, Silly.
  4. Remember, it’s all about them, not you. So when you’re writing, use lots of YOU’s and only a few l’s when necessary.
  5. Don’t make yourself sound too smart. Unless you’re selling to college professors, most people read at about a 3rd grade level. Use short words and short sentences. Even if you’re positioning yourself as an authority in your industry, people don’t like being talked down to.
  6. Offer your prospects at least one, but possibly a few, free gifts with their purchase. People like to get more value for their money, and a few nice bonus gifts can help even more people make the decision to say YES to your offer.
  7. Don’t forget to tell people exactly how to order. And giving them multiple ways to order will always increase your response. Adding a phone number to an online form can increase your response from skeptical people.

I have been studying sales and buyers habits for a few years now and I have seen that success in sales has the 7 components I defined as 7 tips for successful marketing.  Take each tip and study it and check to see if you are using it in your marketing.  Chances are that you are not.

This being said, now is the time to make the improvement.

Testimonials and Case Studies Are The “Magic Bullet” That Can Get Skeptical Prospects Off The Fence.

Have you ever had a potential customer right on the edge of buying from you, but at the last minute they back out because of they’re just too skeptical?

The way you overcome this is with an abundance of proof in your marketing – lots of testimonials.

Let’s say you’re selling an information product in the business-to-business category about how to get more leads.

In your marketing you say within 7 days of implementing these strategies, they should be generating 200 leads a day.

A lot of your prospects, in the back of their mind, will be saying, “yeah, right…”

The way you overcome that is with an abundance of testimonials. And when I say testimonials, I don’t mean people saying kind words about you and your product. I mean case studies of them getting real results.

For example, you might have a video of one of your customers, John. In the video, John shows a screen shot of his back office. Monday, he got 220 leads. Tuesday, he got over 300 leads. Those are the kind of testimonials you want.

But here’s what’s REALLY powerful in a testimonial or case study.

When your prospects look for testimonials, what they really latch on to is a testimonial from someone just like them. Someone they can relate to with a similar background or situation.  I can tell you this really works.  When I use my own exoeriences in my marketing I see a sharp increase in signups for my email list.

When I first got into the industry of affiliate marketing back in 2012, I was nearly about to start working with a lady who was making over $50,000 a month.

I saw her ad and filled out her online application form. She called me back and tried to sign me up for her affiliate marketing program.

A week later, I start researching a different affiliate marketing program and I started talking to another guy. I ended up cutting ties with the first lady and the program she was recommending, and choosing to sign up with the second program.

Why you might ask.  Simple, he relayed to me experiences he had being taken advantage of by other so called gurus.  He told me how much he had spent trying to achieve and set up his online business.  Same as me.  He showed me how he had helped other young entrepreneurs and I wanted the same.

So now when I talk to people who want to do the same thing I am doing, I show them the exact steps that I took to get where I am.  If I can do it, they can do it.  And this little process makes me  lot of money.  It can for you too.

And one last tip. If your products really are good and live up to the claims you make, you shouldn’t have any problems getting those you help give you credible testimonials.
