Don’t Fire Your Boss Yet!

For an entrepreneur with ‘improbable’ and ‘impossible’ dreams, the alleged stability that comes from getting ‘a real job’ is nothing but a sign of slavery. ~Fabrizio Moreira.seth godin job

Normally people who wish to have their own business talk about their present job as if it is the worst thing in the world – a complete inconvenience where they get underpaid, overworked, their boss is greedy and taking home all the rewards.

Having had the experience of both… there are many positive aspects to having a job versus owning your own business.

For most people they ought to be thankful for their job, and thankful they don’t need to make a living by producing value in their own business (because the world would come tumbling down).

I’ve watched many people over the years talk about how much their job sucked.

Complaints about not being paid enough, made to work way too hard for too many hours, and talk about the day they were going to leave it all behind.

Finally they’d work up the courage to quit, show their resentment for the job in how they resigned (very short notice, with no thanks given), then proudly proclaim to everyone on Facebook that today was day they were free – today was the day they had ‘fired their boss’ and were going start a business and make their millions.

Fast forward 6 months, they’d be asking if their job was still available.

So before you quit your job and tell your boss to go to hell, lets discuss a few things.

First, most people quit their day job because of the time excuse; they feel they don’t have enough time to work on their business.

making money onlineI don’t really agree with this.  There’s always time.  It’s a matter of getting your priorities in order.  I would get up at 5am to get a blog post written before going to work.  I would post it and then when I got back, would followup by sending to directories and other sources.

All of us have 24 hours in the day – whether you’re Warren Buffet or a homeless beggar. It’s about priorities.

In order to start a business, you’ve got to move that business into one of your top three priority slots. The closer it is to THE most important thing in your life, the better you will usually do.

You should always be looking for opportunities during the day to accomplish useful work for your business.

This is what you need to think, “if I HAD to get this done given the time I currently have available, how would I do it?”  If there’s no choice but to get it done, amazingly somehow you’ll always find the time.

Using your job as a scapegoat holds no weight.  “I don’t have the time” is not valid anymore.  Find a way to get a few extra hours out of the day to do money producing activities in your business.

Which brings me to my next point…      making money online

Get sales coming in and replace part of your job income, before you go and quit.

It’s plain stupid to go quit a job and start a business when you haven’t even demonstrated to yourself you can get even a few customers.

Prove it to yourself first, by seeing whether people will actually pay you money for your idea or whatever you are selling.   All that matters is, has anyone actually handed you cash for it yet?

If not, you have to keep working on it.

It’s a good idea to wait till your business is almost matching the salary from your job, before you quit your job. Once you have a couple of good months where your business earned you at least 75 percent of what your regular job did, that’s a pretty good time to jump in with both feet.

And don’t quit your job because of one great customer.  Don’t get overexcited after finding your first hyper-responsive client and give up your existing income, because if something happens to that one person then you’ll have a problem.

I will admit, it has been hard for me. Many times I wanted to quit my job and dedicate 100% of my time to my online business.  I did not.  I just kept working and making my business a priority till one day the gates of prosperity opened up for me!

And here I am doing what I love to do and making money every day.

Thank you for reading.

Let Your Imagination Help You Find Your Financial Independence

A quote to remember:

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

~ Albert Einstein

albert einstein

I want to touch on the ideas of quality, quantity and imagination.

Hope this makes sense to you.

There’s an old saying that goes, “Quantity has a quality all its own.”

Most assuredly, from my experience, quantity leads to quality.

The secret to coming up with the best ideas is to come up with lots of ideas. So the sky’s the limit; don’t hold back and use your imagination!

Set a time every day to brainstorm as many ideas as you can – they can be ideas for starting your first business, or, ideas for increasing revenue in your existing business or simply coming up with a name for your business. As I said, the sky’s the limit.

Make it enjoyable to crank out huge quantities of ideas, and you’ll be amazed at the little gems that emerge from this process.   marketing ideas

Quantity leads to quality. Remember four little catchy word. But they are also extremely wise words, because implementing just a handful of well-executed ideas that you pull from your brainstorming sessions can make you a growing fortune.

I know this is true because I’ve done it, and I’ve seen other people do it. By developing this  habit of coming up with as many ideas as you can, you’ll ultimately discover and grow strategies that can set you up financially for life.

With that in mind, here are some tips, tricks, and strategies you can use to develop ideas that have the power to make you enormous sums of money:

  • Remember to have fun!
  • Get your creative juices flowing
  • Make it a challenging game and get the idea generating process going.
  • Form an idea generating group and brainstorm together.
  • Get into the habit of coming up with as many ideas as you can. Quantity over quality.
  • Set aside a time each day to journal about these ideas.
  • Number 6 is a BIG one: Strive to master your market place.

marketing ideas

I think this is enough to get you going. On my next press release I will continue with this subject. So I suggest you get your brain storming hat on and get to work.

Rememeber that some times imagination is worth more than knowledge.

Nobody Goes Out Of Business Because Sales Are Too High

Important quote to remember:

“Keep Your Sales Pipeline Full By Prospecting Continuously. Always Have More People To See Than You Have Time To See Them.”

~ Brian Tracey

We are all in business for a very specific reason. To make money and to support ourselves an our family.

Many times our business just doesn’t cut it.  We can not make enough money to keep going.

There are always excuses as to why a business closed. In the end, though, it always boils down to one simple thing: not making enough money.  going out of business

Money is the “golden key” to nearly every business problem you’ll ever face. Bottom line, making more sales will solve almost any business or financial personal problem.

Focus on this idea and commit it to memory: Nobody ever went out of business because their sales and profits were too high.

The number one reason any business fails is because they don’t bring in enough sales to cover their overhead expenses and allow their owners to make enough money. The owners end up working too many hours for too little pay. It wears them down, eventually they can’t take it anymore, and ultimately they go out of business.

I don’t want to be so pessimistic but the truth is that businesses go under due to low sales and a huge debt. They can’t bring in enough sales and profits, and they go belly up and have to shut their doors or if you are an online marketer like me, you stop trying.

Important to remember: Everything in your business is an expense except for two things: innovation and marketing.

Innovation and marketing are two important principals that go hand in hand.

Marketing, of course, is all the things you do to attract and retain the largest possible group of the best possible customers within your marketplace, and then get them to spend as much money as possible.

How do you achieve this?

You make it a priority to study everything you can about all aspects of marketing. It sounds like an impossible task, and yes it is difficult.  But this is your choice. Like me, I wanted my online business to grow and bring me money so I am constantly learning and growing and not only because I have to, but because I love to.

It can be fun and rewarding to implement what you’ve learned and see the sales roll in. Whoever said “money can’t buy happiness” was right in some ways, but the pursuit of money, the game of it, can make you happy. Marketing is all about the pursuit of profits.

Become an expert and master your understanding of marketplace psychology.

Learn everything you can about what makes your customers and prospects tick.

What’s most important to them?

What are they searching for the most that causes them to do business with companies like yours?

What are they finding the least?

Where are the marketplace gaps that need to be filled, and how can you create irresistible offers that make it virtually impossible for them to not give you their money?

It’s the ultimate challenge. The best marketers are like mad scientists, totally obsessed with finding new means of attracting and retaining the very best repeat buyers in their market.

Change your thinking and look at it like a game and you win with money.

It maybe work but in my case it is being online and having fun with it. Interacting and helping people devlope and grow, just like I did.

It’s challenging, yes, but it’s also creative, rewarding, stimulating, exciting, and purposeful. It enriches everyones life—and the lives of employees, suppliers, joint venture partners and their loved ones.

going out of business   Nobody goes out of business because their sales and profits are too high. Your job is to become a leader in your industry, to strive to be the very best, to attract and retain superior customers and keep doing the most business possible with them for the longest period of time.

If you make that your number one priority, you’ll gain a huge amount of market power and personal satisfaction— and you’ll solve almost every business problem you’re faced with.

How To Work The Fastest, Easiest, and Safest Marketing System In Your Business

“Don’t find customers for your products, find products for your customers.”

~ Seth Godin

Online Marketing 101

Billie here and it’s been a few days since my last post. I was getting sort of rusty but for me the good news is that I have been very busy helping marketers set up an online business and go baby! Go!

Today we’re going back to basics of online marketing.  I’m going to show you the fastest, easiest, and above all, safest marketing system I know of.

When you use it, it can guarantee the most sales and profits possible over the longest period of time.

This 3-step marketing system is so easy a child can understand it, and yet it’s likely that none of your competitors are using it.

Going back to basic online marketing.  I am going to discuss 3 hugely important basic steps.  It’s important to keep in mind that I’m assuming you have already identified your target market.

In order to succeed, you need to identify a reachable marketplace that wants and needs the products and services that you sell.

Once you have identified your market, here are the 3 steps:

  • Step 1:  Create a sales funnel that attracts a steady flow of the highest-quality leads possible.
  • Step 2:  Make those leads a strong offer to get them to make a small initial purchase.
  • Step 3:  Follow up relentlessly with your buyers to make them additional offers to do more business with you. online marketing basics

That’s it.  3 basic steps.  You just have to do them over and over again on a regular, consistent basis. Read them again carefully. Do they seem a little simple? Maybe oversimplified?

It’s because they are simple. But don’t think they’re too simple, because these 3 steps have generated millions upon millions of dollars in sales for people who have mastered their implementation.

When you master these 3 steps correctly and consistently, you end up with a very low-risk system. But it’s a proven money-making system. Best of all, when you do this the right way, most of your competitors simply will not be able to compete with you. You’ll have all the leads and customers you can handle.

Let’s Break Down Our Online Marketing Some More

In Step 1, you must start by proving to your prospects that your product or service is exactly what they’re looking for.  It is exactly what they need to solve a big problem they have.

The bigger the problem, the more money you can make solving it. This is how you attract a large number of leads.

Adding additional qualifiers – such as making them pay for shipping and handling or requiring them to provide their mailing address on your opt-in form – can increase the quality of your leads, but it will also lower the number of people who respond.

When you get this mixture right, you’ll get a steady stream of highly-qualified leads.

Step 2, you must prove to them beyond any doubt that the product or service you’re offering is worth far more in perceived value than the money you’re asking them for.

Give them a way to get started risk-free or even “better than risk-free” with an initial low-cost offer that protects them fully. You’ll want to test to find the best price, but in most cases, an offer that is between $39 and $99 seems to be the sweet spot for a lot of introductory offers made these days.

And finally,  Step 3, you go back to your new customers with additional offers that get them to buy from you again and again.

Depending on your exact model and the types of products and services you offer, you can begin making them big-ticket offers that really put the cash into your bank account.

Once you have the trust and respect of a new customer – assuming you have the products and services that justify a premium price – these new customers will gladly spend $1,000 … $5,000 … $10,000 … and even more.

Keep in mind that you should get used to the idea that you’re going to spend money to do this correctly.. Especially in the beginning when you’re running ads to attract new prospective customers.

Depending on your model, you could spend many times what it costs you to attract a new customer, knowing that you’ll make it up with your upsells.

What matters in the end is your ROI—return on investment, which boils down to how much you spend vs. how much you make in the long run.

That’s the only thing that’s important. online marketing basics

I hope all this makes sense to you and you once again go back to basics but remember being consistent is everything.

That’s It For Today..

4 Tips for Engaging Instagram Content [Examples]

As a marketer, you might have noticed how traditional advertising is less effective. Even mobile ads are disliked by 70% of users. What can you do to effectively connect your products to your audience?          Social media Instagram

Instagram is a good answer. Its audience has grown rapidly, totaling over 800 million (increasing 200 million between July and September 2017 alone). And, according to Social Media Today, referrals from Instagram “spend the longest time on e-commerce sites with an average duration of 192 seconds, which is almost double Facebook and triple Pinterest.”

Which types of Instagram content work best? Consider these opportunities and be inspired by the examples.

TIP: The first step in a successful Instagram strategy is to know your audience members so you can create relevant content for them.

1. Leverage user-generated content

One of the best ways to achieve maximum reach and engagement is creating content that encourages your viewers to create their user-generated posts featuring your product or message.

One successful example of this approach is the Instagram campaign conducted by Australia-based beauty brand Frank Body to promote its coffee ground-based body scrub. It hired a team of influencers with highly engaged audiences to showcase the product in creative ways. Each post included “#Let’sBeFrank” or “#TheFrankEffect.” The bold content encouraged users to post their own images of the coffee scrub using those hashtags.

25K+ Instagram users generated dirty images & promoted @frank_bod’s coffee-based scrub. @shane_barkerCLICK TO TWEET

The results? Over 25,000 user-generated images posted to Instagram and 350,000 followers in 12 months.

2. Create a contest

Running a contest to give away some products always attracts users’ interest. It’s even more powerful when you incorporate user-generated content into the contest. Use a hashtag that encapsulates your message or captures the viewer’s attention enough to make them want to create content and promote the giveaway.

The Body Shop created an incredibly catchy hashtag – #HealthyMoment – to promote its new Fuji Green Tea products. It urged people to create content showing their “healthy moments” throughout the day and to participate in the giveaway.

The results? The brand received over 50,000 “likes” and saw a 200% increase in engagement. It reached 225,000 people through this single giveaway.

3. Show the application of your product

To create engaging content on Instagram, show users how to use your products in their life. Consumers like to get ideas and see what products fit with yours so keep your content as actionable as possible.

It’s been popular in the fashion industry, as retailers show a clothing item within the context of an outfit, a certain look, or a striking combination. One example is ASOS, which posts seasonally relevant outfits to Instagram. In this image, ASOS shows a back-to-school outfit using the hashtag #OOTD (outfit of the day).

Social media Instagram

The results? ASOS received over 32,200 “likes” and 248 comments for this single post.

A good example of an influencer showing products in use is grey_acuna, who often posts images of several products in the same scenario. Here, he showcases a bag from Lo & Sons, an outfit from Lululemon, and sunglasses from Ray-Ban. His post has received over 700 “likes.”

Social media Instagram

Food is a popular category on Instagram. And if your products are related to food at all, consider creating dishes and posting recipes. This gives a twist to the show-your-product tip because you (or the poster) make something.

One great example is from the influencer daisybeet who promoted Siggi’s, a natural yogurt brand. She put together a delicious breakfast of yummy grapefruit, blueberries, oats, and a bunch of other super-healthy foods that I can’t pronounce.

Social media Instagram

The results? Her post received 2,965 “likes” and reached a new audience for Siggi’s that it didn’t have access to.

4. Tell a story

Creating a story with your product engages consumers and creates a compelling reason for them to click on your site and start shopping.

This strategy works for pretty much any product category.

For example, charity: water uses storytelling to describe the communities benefiting from its clean water initiatives around the world. This Instagram post shows a community in Malawi that now has clean water because of the nonprofit’s project.

Social media Instagram

Being open and telling your brand story is a good way to build your online community. Posting images reflecting your behind-the-scenes work helps illustrate your values. Most importantly, it provides a way for consumers to better understand your company and to connect with your product.

Being open & telling your brand story is a good way to build an online community, says @shane_barker.CLICK TO TWEET

Apolis is a socially motivated lifestyle brand that creates products from natural ingredients and gives back to native communities around the world. It even posts to Instagram an image of the executive team discussing its next initiative. Note that it uses the text to explain how the viewer can further engage and connect with the members of that team.

Social media Instagram

Grace & Lace, a clothing retailer that appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank, has built a community of 61,000 followers on Instagram.

How does the brand get those followers engaged? The secret is every post tells a story. They use models and other people instead of mannequins. They share stories about their family and take viewers behind the scenes.

If you make your content relatable and tell stories, then users will connect with your brand and have a positive experience before they ever see your site.

Social media Instagram

Recap

Instagram offers a great opportunity to make your brand stand out – if you use it well and:

  • Leverage user-generated content.
  • Create a giveaway contest.
  • Show the application of your product; create a recipe or composition.
  • Tell your story.

Each one of these strategies is a powerful way to maximize your reach, engagement, and conversions on Instagram.

Don’t limit yourself to a single type of post or the same type of content. Try different ones to see what works best for your audience and your brand.

How to Create Better Content For Your Marketing: 3 Fun & Inspiring Ideas

Create Cool Marketing Content

Create Cool Marketing Content

Your next great content piece is not going to come from Googling random lists of ideas and reading results like “101 Blog Post Ideas That Will Make Your Blog ‘HOT’” or “Unlimited Blog Post Ideas to Blast Off Your Blog.”

It’s just not going to happen.

Want to know where the best ideas come from, instead?

Inspiration.

To get your brain gears turning, you need to see fantastic examples of creativity in content, and then apply that inspiration to your content niche, voice, style, and industry topics.

Relying on a list of random ideas, on the other hand, might actually backfire.

For instance, if you need content ideas for the medical industry, will suggestions like “sing a song and record it” or “write down all the random thoughts you had today” really help you? (And yes, these are real, actual suggestions from one popular post.)

If they do, that’s great.

If they don’t, I have an alternative.

Here are some fantastically creative content examples you can mine for inspiration.

Check out what these brands did, then your marketing team can take that as motivation to dig in and get interesting, innovative, and inspiring, too.

Content Creation Inspiration: 3 Fun Ideas to Try

1. Host a Blog Q&A Session for an Industry Topic

Blog Tyrant’s Ramsay Taplin created this great Q&A post that had a bit of a different spin.

Instead of compiling questions and answers in a long article, he opened up the blog comments and let people ask their most burning questions about blogging, which he answered personally.

He also offered to visit their sites so he could better understand the context of their personal blogging queries.

He ended up getting over 100 questions about blogging, how to start a blog, how to grow an email list, and more.

Blog Tyrant - The Great Big Blogging Q&A

To make sure the comments didn’t get unmanageable, he offered to answer one question per person and closed the comments after 30 days.

Blog Tyrant - The Great Big Blogging Q&A comment

A Q&A done in this fashion is a great way to engage with your audience and share your know-how, which also helps build your authority.

The questions you get will give you ideas for blog topics moving forward, as well – win-win!

2. Give a ‘Behind-the-Scenes’ Peek – Warts and All

You’ve probably heard this idea before. Plenty of people do it, but most don’t go in-depth.

Follow the lead of The National Museum of American History and give your audience a no-holds-barred look at how you make your operation come together.

10 things to know about exhibition installation 1

People are always curious about others’ success, but what’s more interesting is showing the downs as well as the ups.

For example, in this NMAH post, a museum curator gives us an inside look at exactly how an exhibition comes together.

The curator shares common challenges they face, unexpected parts of the job, and lots of inside peeks. It’s a fascinating look at something most people never think about when they visit a museum.

The best part? It ended up being an incredibly popular post on the blog. According to BuzzSumo, it’s one of the museum’s top-shared posts of all time:

10 things to know about exhibition installation buzzsumo shares

In similar fashion, give your readers a peek at what happens behind the curtain of your glossy business veneer and web presence.

Don’t just post a staff photo on Facebook – write a post about a business challenge you recently faced and how you overcame it. Or, take your audience on a photo tour of your offices and go into detail about why it works for your team.

In short, don’t be afraid to post creative content that gets real – people will respond.

3. Offer a Useful or Fun Quiz

Who doesn’t love a quiz?

BuzzFeed is huge for a reason – people love answering questions to learn more about themselves, no matter how silly or inane the results (like this quiz about cats and fortune-telling).

BuzzFeed Name These Cats And We'll Reveal What Your Future Holds

Apply this idea to your content like the folks at Warby Parker did. They created an interactive, illustrated quiz to help customers choose frames for their “Home Try-On” service.

Warby Parker Quiz

The results are really satisfying – you end up on a page with customized recommendations for frames based on your preferences.

Warby Parker Home Try-On Quiz

According to Content Marketing Institute, there’s huge value in this approach. A poll on interactive content revealed that 75 percent of those who use it said it helps with better lead nurturing. This is because the content and presentation give a good sample of the brand.

Another 77 percent said content such as interactive quizzes has “reusable value” – it can be repurposed and may incite multiple visits from users.

There are hundreds of reasons and ways to create quizzes, not just for shopping but also for pure enjoyment.

You can be as serious or as light-hearted as you want – just keep it relevant to your industry for best results.

What’s the Takeaway for Better Content?

These content examples all have one thing in common:

They’re different from your average, run-of-the-mill how-to post, infographic, or listicle.

They step outside the box a little to deliver fun, engaging content that works.

Take inspiration from these examples and see how you can take your own content a bit left-of-center this year.

Start with a tried-and-true idea, then play with it. Do your own take. Twist it, and remold it to make it yours.

Then see what happens.

How To Get Targeted Traffic To Your Blog

get traffic and make money online

5 Ways to Get Traffic to Your Blog and Make money Online

A lot of people have their own blog, but most bloggers have little to no readers.

Simply blogging every day and aggressively adding more content won’t automatically get you traffic. There are two sides to blogging, and populating your blog with content is just one of them. The other one is getting your blog in front of people.

If you’ve been slaving away at blogging and it seems like no one knows your blog exists, you need to change your strategy.

In this video, filmed at the Traffic Summit during the Titanium Mastermind in the Dominican Republic, Paul O’Mahony shares 5 ways to get more traffic to your blog.

100% FREE Make Money Online Tutorial

I hope you watched the video.  Here is a recap of what was mentioned.  Things you should be doing to bring your blog alive with readers.

1. OFFER TO WRITE FOR OTHERS

Offer to write for established blogs in your niche. Don’t wait for them to ask you.

Every blog is always looking for content, so if you reach out to them and offer to contribute content for them, they’ll nearly always say yes.

Plus, especially if you’re contributing for free, they’ll nearly always let you promote your own blog through your content. This will give you a residual stream of traffic back to your blog.

2. INVITE OTHERS TO WRITE FOR YOU

Once your own blog is up and running, ask for guest writers and put the invitation on a prominent place on your blog. Some of your own readers will respond to this and agree to write for you.

Guest writers put a lot of effort into their content, because they’re often using it as a way to get traffic to their own blogs. You’ll get high quality content and you don’t need to spend the time writing it yourself.

Plus, you’ll get new traffic from this. Your guest writers will probably want to share their content with their own followings, exposing your blog to more potential readers.

3. REACH OUT TO WRITERS

The bigger the reach of the guest writers you attract to your blog, the more traffic you’ll get when they share their content with their following.

If you put your guest writer invitation on your blog itself, only your existing readers will see it, and they are unlikely to have the biggest of reaches.

As well as this, contact the authors for other blogs. Go to the biggest ones in your niche and see who’s contributing the content. Some of these writers already have large followings. Reach out to these people and invite them to write for your blog as well.

4. WRITE ABOUT TRENDING TOPICS

The biggest mistake people make with blogging is they start writing the standard information that a million people have already written about.

Instead, write about the most recently trending topics. This is what people want to read about. If a hurricane happened in Thailand, find some way to relate it to the topic of your blog.

If you’re the first person in your niche to write about it, then you’ll get all the traffic when they go searching for information about it.

Use tools like Twitter and Google Trends to find what’s trending, and get on them as fast as you can.

5. OFFER INTERNSHIPS

Paul O’Mahony runs his business from Cambridge, UK. It’s a university city that releases a lot of graduates every year. They’re looking for work, but often need to get some experience before most recruiters will consider them.

Paul offers internships to the graduates, and allows them to write and research for his blogs. They’re happy to do it for free, because they need the experience. He’ll just take them out for drinks on a regular basis to show his appreciation.

Your writing interns may share their content with their own social networks, and it also frees up your time to focus on the other traffic strategies.

These are excellent points to consider and implement if you want to get traffic to your blog.  i hope you enjoyed reading this material and if you would like to leave a comment please do.  I will respond as quickly as possible.

How To Come Up With Engaging Content For Your Email List

“The vast majority of products are sold because of the need for love, the fear of shame, the pride of achievement, the drive for recognition, the yearning to feel important, the urge to look attractive, the lust for power, the longing for romance, the need to feel secure, the terror of facing the unknown, the lifelong hunger for self-esteem and so on. Emotions are the fire of human motivation, the combustible force that secretly drives most decisions to buy. When your marketing harnesses those forces correctly you will generate explosive increases in response.”

Engage With Your Email Subscriber List

Do you ever wonder how I manage to come up with a different topic every day for my emails to my subscription list?

This is one of the questions I’m most frequently asked. A lot of my students find email marketing very challenging because they’re always running out of ideas.

Here’s a few pointers for how to make sure your emails are fresh every single day;email list hands

Firstly, your emails always need to be engaging and interesting. Never be boring. If your emails are boring, people will just tune out (which is ultimately the same as just unsubscribing).

Next, the content you write about must support the sale you’re trying to make.

There is zero point in offering good value in your content, if subscriber who consumes that content doesn’t feel more compelled to want to do business with you after reading it.

The whole point of email marketing is to make money.  It’s not to create warm and fuzzy feelings in the hearts of people around the world.  It’s to make sales, and through those products sold deliver the value.

The good news is, just about ANY piece of content can be turned into a promotion for whatever product you’re selling. If you’re creative enough, that is.

Literally Any Topic Can Be Turned Into A Promotional Email

“You can literally name any thing… even some inanimate object in a room, and I’ll take that object and turn it into a promo to my email list.”

If you are inventive enough you can write an email about anything and turn it into a promotional email about what you are selling.  All right then.  Give it a go.

My point is, with enough creativity, any topic at all can be turned into a promotion. And this ability comes with daily practice.

Every single day, just come up with a story from your daily life and find a way to relate it to your offer. Perhaps you got stuck in traffic and you’re selling some home business program. In your email, explain how getting stuck in traffic is a rare thing when you’re able to work from home.

Perhaps you’re selling a fitness product – so you could talk about your session at the gym, or a conversation you had with someone that day who says they wish they could be in better shape.

It helps to identify what is the main benefit of the offer, or what problem it helps the consumer overcome. If it’s a home business program, the benefit is the ability to work from home and take back control of your time. If I’m selling an email marketing course, the benefit is doing email marketing better and making more money as a result.

Once you know the benefit, you’ll start to see how you can relate it to the episode of your life that you’re talking about.

That’s basically how I come up with topics for emails to my list. I sit down and I just think to myself, what’s happened in my life recently, and what conclusion can be drawn (which is in alignment with people buying my product).

Now if you have a newsletter, it is possible to share more practical tips like this (though in a lot more depth than can be done in emails) to help you get better response rates across all your advertising mediums. That is why I post relevant content to my blog DAILY!email engage leads

Here’s a few of the topics you’ll read about:

  • How to get more traffic as you scale your business (from secret sources that cost less and convert better)

  • The trick to keeping your sales reps happy, motivated and producing maximum sales numbers every month
  • My must-tries, must-dos and must-reads for every entrepreneur (books, websites and tools that will turn you into a more knowledgeable and effective marketer)

Snapchat Redesign and What It Means For Marketers

snapchatThe New Snapchat Separates Friends From Marketing Content

The goal of the latest Snapchat redesign, according to Snap Inc.CEO Evan Spiegel, is to separate the “media” from the “social.”

In a video showing off the revamped app, Spiegel explained their approach, citing user feedback as the driver:

“One of the complaints we’ve heard about social media is that photos and videos from your friends are mixed in with content from publishers and creators and influencers. But your friends aren’t content. They’re relationships.”

Previously, content from friends on Snapchat was combined with professional and media content on one screen and accessible by swiping right on the app. Now, users can swipe right to access the “Discover” section of the app – the new home of publisher and branded content – or swipe left to find messages and Stories from their friends.

Apart from the above-mentioned feedback, the redesign is also a result of Snapchat’s efforts to better monetize the app, in alignment with their goal to create a cleaner and more friend-focused experience. However, not everyone’s a fan.

Many users are unhappy that the app now mixes their friends’ Stories with their private messages, making it difficult to distinguish the difference between the two, while also making it impossible to watch a continuous stream of friends’ Stories (note: a recent revision seems to have somewhat addressed this).

According to TechCrunch, 83% of user reviews published since the app redesign have been negative, giving the app one or two stars.

The redesign has also sparked major concerns among brands and marketers. If your business maintains a presence on Snapchat, here’s what you can likely expect from any on-platform marketing efforts moving forward.

Prepare to pay-to-play

The decision to move publisher and brand-produced content out of the main feed means that marketers now need to be prepared to pay if they want to achieve the same reach that was once possible when their content was integrated among their fans’ regular feeds.

The new Discover tab may remove a user’s friends as “competition” for views, but it also means your content now faces increased competition from other brands and publishers.

First of all, your Stories will only appear within the main tab if your brand follows back any users following you. Snapchat’s also mixing Official Stories – content by those with verified accounts, such as celebrities – into the Discover tab, along with Publisher Stories and Snapchat’s ‘Our Stories‘ and Shows.

Furthermore, instead of showing each Story in a horizontal format, similar to the friends’ screen, each Story on the Discover tab is presented as a vertical thumbnail, or “tile.” This means that fewer Stories appear on a user’s screen at a time. So if your brand’s content appears “below the fold,” it may never be seen by your fans at all.

The redesign appears to be an effort to push Snapchat’s Promoted Stories ad format, which enables brands to purchase a “tile” on the Discover tab. However, according to Marketing Land, Promoted Stories can only be purchased through Snapchat’s direct sales team, and have to be purchased as a countrywide, one-day takeover, which can be incredibly expensive for smaller brands.

It remains to be seen if Snapchat will make this advertising option more accessible for brands of all sizes.

The Snapchat algorithm rules all

What users see in their Friends and Discover tabs is determined by Snapchat’s algorithms to help make the user experience feel more customized for each person.

For example, if a user frequently views certain friend’s Stories, then Snapchat will push that friend’s content to the top of the user’s feed more often, ideally, keeping them coming back more often to see more of the content they want.

According to Marketing Land, the Snapchat algorithm will also surface Stories and Shows in the Discover tab that users might not be aware of, but might be interested in, based on the content they’ve viewed in the past. The bad news for brands is that the algorithm will now have more power over the content that appears in the Discover tab than the users themselves.

While this could help keep users engaged for longer on the app, it could also lead to even more pressure on brands to buy ads in order to get their content in front of their fans.

Community engagement will be more critical than ever before

The decision to move all media and branded content to a separate section makes it more important than ever for brands to actively engage with their fans on Snapchat.

Before, it was possible to have an audience for your content without investing heavily in building up your follower base. Now, marketers will need to implement a strategy on how to actively engage with their fans and keep their attention moving forward.

For many brands, following users back may be the one way to do so, and dedicating someone on the team to handle this job may be necessary.

Is it time for brands to ditch Snapchat once and for all?

For many brands, it may be time to completely switch over to Instagram and Instagram Stories once and for all.

A study by CivicScience suggests that Snapchat has been losing approximately 2% of its Millennial audience since late 2017, while Instagram has been gaining 2% in the same demographic in the equivalent time frame. Given the backlash, the redesign certainly wouldn’t appear to be helping these numbers.

Instagram continues to beat Snapchat at its own game by continuously innovating and improving upon the Stories phenomenon, and as a result, Mediakix revealed that influencers are using Instagram Stories 25% more than Snapchat each day.

With the redesign, Snapchat’s showing signs that it may become a strictly pay-to-play platform. Instagram’s larger audience and more robust search and discoverability features are becoming increasingly attractive for brands and social media influencers alike, and we may see many more of them leave Snapchat in favor of the Facebook-owned app.

Business Establishments And Individuals Are Increasingly Embracing SEO Strategies

Search engine optimization is arguably the most effective online organic search marketing strategy currently in existence. It is hardly surprising that now more than ever many business establishments and even individuals are increasingly embracing this technique to achieve both their short term and long term business objectives.

Indeed, according to a Comscore survey that was conducted in May 2014, 18.5 billion people made searches utilizing the top 5 search engines in the US alone. While another related study revealed organic search accrues 85% of SERPs clicks and pay per click (PPC) searches accounted for only 15% of this share.

Benefits Of Search Engine Optimization

So, SEO can offer a multitude of advantages that most other online marketing techniques would be hard pressed to deliver. This includes enhanced visibility, brand awareness, credibility and traffic generation that when combined lead to exponential revenue generation growth. However, many website owners sadly deem SEO merely as an inevitable expense to their online marketing campaigns, much the same way they would deal with a mundane household expenditure.  seo confusedThe truth is in fact very different; this strategy can be an extremely rewarding investment. An investment, which can bring about a substantial ROI in a very cost effective manner. This is self evident when you compare it to pay per click (PPC). When you, for one reason or the other, halt a PPC campaign, you will automatically lose visibility, and relinquish the traffic generated by this online marketing strategy. On the other hand, search engine optimization is an ongoing strategy. It is characterized by a remarkable continuity that lets business entities to solidify their web presence, and drive quality traffic to their sites.Achieving top rankings in the major search engines such as Google, Bing or Yahoo! culminates in more leads that can be easily converted. Essentially, you should think of search engine marketing as a long term client acquisition funnel that has no bounds. Taking a case study of Google SERPs, it has been proven that the top rated sites account for 36.4% of all clicks. Hence managing to be on position #1 to #3 suggests to users a solid credibility of your firm and the products or services it offers.

Despite all this, formulating and ultimately implementing an excellent SEO strategy is not as easy as it may seem at face value. There are numerous pertinent factors that usually come to play in achieving top rankings and maintain them. To begin with, virtually all major search engines regularly update their algorithms, and if you fail to keep abreast of these changes you can easily lose your standing on SERPs. Also, your competition can at any time formulate and implement a superior strategy and topple you from your advantageous position. So, it pays a lot to enlist the services of a professional SEO agency that can handle this critical aspect of this online marketing campaign. These experts can be invaluable in assisting you to lay a firm SEO foundation as well as offering the prerequisite guidance in implementing and managing the very best techniques that concur with you business objectives.

This enables their clients to easily gauge the viability of the various techniques they implement. While, at the same time, determining better techniques to realize or even exceed the desired ROI in a stress-free manner.

SEO Web Analytics

Granted, each SEO company has its own web analytic s parameters. Still, most of these metrics can be broadly categorized into 2 groups. Which are reach and action metrics. The first variety are designed to determine just how much traffic a site may be receiving as well as its SERP ranking based on the same. This goes a long way in allowing clients to establish the performance baseline of any SEO strategy. Some of the most critical reach metrics include crawlability (how visible a website is to search engine crawlers) along with branded and unbranded keywords. The last metric enables these experts to identify hot keywords and pinpoint potential problems that may arise from a flawed keyword integration technique.

Action metrics on their part, are designed to ascertain just what actions visitors to a given website perform while there. Most search engines assess sociability and content interactivity to effectively rank the sites that are submitted to them. Bounce rate is an excellent instance of action metrics. Ideally, it tracks the number of visitors that leave a site after viewing just one page. The higher the bounce rate a website registers, the lower its ranking on SERPs will be. When it comes to content interactivity SEOs have the necessary tools to establish the most popular pages and even menu items. More to the point, those that possess the highest conversion rates. Yet another vital action metric is referred to as social visitor flow. This metric allows search engine marketing firms to determine just which social media platform drives the most traffic to their clients’ sites. While monitoring all the actions such visitors perform too.

Conclusion seo create websites

Thanks to these and many more metrics, these experts are always in an excellent position to prove the effectiveness of the strategies they endorse to their clients. It is consequently very easy to realize the immense benefits SEO can present to all business entities for both the short term and long term. You can never go wrong with enlisting professional SEO services in your online marketing efforts.
