Build Your Bridges and Build Your Business

Think of these business systems as bridges. Bridges that will provide a path for you to cross safely …to financial freedom. . . Let’s take a dentist. A dentist spends years in school learning to become a self-contained system. You, as the client, get a toothache. You go see your dentist. He fixes your tooth. You pay and go home. You’re happy and then tell all of your friends about your great dentist. In most cases, the dentist can do the entire job by himself. The problem is that if the dentist goes on vacation, so does his income. True business owners can go on vacation forever because they own a system, not a job. If the business owner is on vacation, the money still comes in.”

                                                                         ~ Robert Kiyosaki  marketing strategies

This quotes goes great with what I am currently living.  On Tuesday 5/29 I flew from San Francisco to Miami.  The flight from hell but that is another story.

What I want to lead up to is that even though I was in the air and totally disconnected from my world, my business continued to produce money and leads.

It is just a great feeling; to be able to travel whenever you feel like it and take your business with you.

So I’ll give you the blueprint for making this a reality.

It’s called the Smart Marketing Blueprint and you ought to print this off, and put it next to your computer. marketing strategies

Here it is:

  1. Give people what they want.
  2. Develop or sell products and services that appeal to your specific market.
  3. Make sure those items have the highest profits possible.
  4. Develop marketing systems that help you identify the right prospects and then communicate the right message to them.
  5. Reach and sell to those prospects fast and make the largest profits.
  6. Resell to your customers on a regular basis.
  7. Create sales messages that build strong bonds with your customers.
  8. Position yourself so you have unique selling position (even before you actually do!)
  9. Create offensive marketing strategies that let you control the selling process.
  10. Make specific offers to your customers on an ongoing basis.

Let’s take a closer look.

Number one is to give people what they want. Sounds easy enough, but I have seen marketers in love with a certain product that has lousy conversions but nonetheless they want to sell it and can’t understand why sales are strategies

Number Two on our list is to develop products and services that are appealing to a specific market. Again, it comes back to knowing and having an intimate understanding of your marketplace.  Most companies are doing “me too” kinds of things – they’re all following the follower. The more you’re aware of that, the more you’ll see it. There are exceptions, but those are the guys who are able to see what their clients really want. You need to become one of them to make the biggest profits.

Number Three is making sure those items have the largest profit margin possible. This is one of the main secrets behind the success of many affiliates.

Number Four is to develop marketing systems that identify the right prospects and communicate the right messages to them. A marketing system is simply a process that automatically attracts and resells customers again and again for you.

Number Five is that you’ve got strive to reach, and sell, to those people fast enough to make the largest profit you possibly can. Again, most businesses don’t have any real strategy for this part.

Ok, I have given 5 of the 10 I have on my list and you should jot down as well.

I will probably continue this post tomorrow unless Miami beach gets in the way.

Thank you for reading.

How To Become Fearless

“Underneath Your Fears Lie Great Opportunituies. Because when you start doing the things that scare you the most, tearing down the invisible barriers that separate you from the good life, you become the person you’ve always dreamed about in your mind: your ideal self.”

~Tony Robbins

If there’s anything in your life or business that you’re not accomplishing, there’s only one thing holding you back.

Fear in all it’s forms, fear of failure, fear of cold calling, fear of what people will think of you, fear of looking back – everything affecting you can be traced back to some fear.

Here is a short video with some interesting thoughts:

  Laptop Lifestyle

There’s a reason why walking bare-foot on hot coals at 2,000 degrees is a famous event of Tony Robbins’ personal development programs.

Now a household iron is only 700 degrees, and if you touch that, your skin will burn. Yet, Roger Salam in the video above has seen everyone from age 4 to age 84 walk on hot coals.

Most people think this is impossible. Yet, 30 seconds later, they have proven they can do it. This is called experiential knowledge, and no one can take it away from you. Once proven you can do something, you’ll never again have the doubt.

Our fear takes over and causes us to tell ourselves that we can not do things.  That they are impossible.  But do you think that if you could prove you can walk on hot coals, that you would be a little bit less doubtful about your ability to do some simple task in your business?

We have seen and heard of miracle stories such as paraplegics who were told by doctors that they’d never walk again. Yet, they came back slowly, one day at a time.

The first step is always losing your fear and believing that you can do what you otherwise would have thought you can’t do.

Building a business, whether it’s in real estate, online marketing or any other endeavor, is actually easy. Our fear of the unknown causes us to tell ourselves that it’s hard, but it’s really not.

What is truly hard is personal development. If you work the hardest on yourself, you can eventually become the kind of person who attracts success effortlessly, instead of chasing it.

Think of becoming someone who sits on a board of directors. That job is never advertised. It’s only recruited through personal phone calls. What kind of person do you have to be to get those phone calls?

Focus on yourself.   Work on becoming a fearless person, and the material results in business will automatically follow.

Seek knowledge from people who have walked the road of success, and learn how to model their “thinking patterns”.  It is not easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

Why most people who attend business seminars are wasting their time

“Whenever you want to achieve something, keep your eyes open, concentrate and make sure you know exactly what it is you want. No one can hit their target with their eyes closed.”

                                                                             ~ Paulo Coelho

If you are like me, I am sure you have been to plenty of seminars.  At the end of it you probably had pages of notes.

Sometimes an entire notebook fool of doodles when you got bored and good info when something interesting was said. marketing seminars

You got so many gems – so many things you can do in your business when you get home which will make you a lot more money.  So many, that you don’t know which ones to start with, but you’ll work that out after the event.

You then get home.  And maybe you decide to rest for a day and not look at the notes.  After all, it was a long event.

Then another day rolls around, and you have work.  Or some other commitments that prevent you from getting to those notes.

And then over the next few weeks, which turn into months, life just gets in the way.

Does that sound familiar?

You had the best of intentions with applying everything you learned, but you just got busy.

A year later, you stumble across those notes from that event, now covered in dust, and very little of what you wrote down even makes sense anymore.

I used to go through this all the time.

Until I figured out that it’s better to attend live events with the mentality that you’re looking for just 3 significant things.

It could be 3 powerful contacts / JV partners.

It could be 3 strategies that will have the biggest impact on your revenue.

It could be 3 ways to solve the single biggest challenge your company is facing right now.

Or a combination of all the above. marketing seminars

It has been awhile since I have attended a seminar and I don’t actually feel like going. As of late I have been really focused on learning from new online associates and new people I am meeting in the business.

One of the biggest factors or if not the biggest reason I attended seminars was to network.  Meeting people with different businessess, ideas, and work styles is invaluable.

But nonetheless, focus on 3 ideas to implement in your business and get it to the next level.  It’s impossible to bring the whole pharmacy home and get it to work.

Operation Money Suck

“Opportunity luck is why the rich are rich. Opportunity luck is a unique type of luck the rich create as a result of having good daily habits. When you have good daily habits, you magnify the opportunity for luck to occur.”

                                                                                                                           ~ Unknown

Here is a new concept for you“Operation Money Suck”, designed to help you focus all your time, energy, and attention on making the most amount of money possible from your marketplace.

The goal is to be the dominant player in your market, to take the biggest slice of the pie for yourself.

Legally, morally, and ethically of course.                       make money online now

There is a lot of money being spent by prospects and customers in your market.

The truth of the matter is that you are surrounded by competitors who may be more aggressive than you and are going after the same people you are trying to sell.

It’s a known fact that if you do not show them why they should spend it with you, then your competitors will.

Properly handled, your marketplace is your meal ticket for life. But you have to go after it. From a metaphoric perspective, your competitors are the enemy. They’re going after the same dollars that you want to attract.

There’s very little loyalty in the marketplace. No matter how much your customers like you and trust you, if you’re not connecting with them on a regular basis and making offers to them often, your customers will buy what they need from someone else.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with making as much as you can from your market place.  It means you’re doing your job well, and that you’re providing value to your market.

I recommend that you think about it very carefully. Here’s the basic formula.

To make the largest amount of money possible, all you have to do is sell and resell enough items, enough times, to enough people, for enough profit each time.make money online now

Commit that to memory. Hang it on your wall. Think it through. Visualize it. Internalize it. Really understand what that formula is all about. It’s as simple as it sounds.

And that’s what I have learned to be “Operation Money Suck” in a nutshell.

The Power of Positive Thinking and Hard Work Go Hand In Hand

“People don’t understand that when I grew up, I was never the most talented. I was never the biggest. I was never the fastest. I certainly was never the strongest. The only thing I had was my work ethic, and that’s been what has gotten me this far.”

                                                                             ~ Tiger Woods

Going against the “something for nothing” crowd, real success does actually require a lot of hard work. In my case, what I have achieved is far more due to working daily, than to intelligence, talent, natural ability, etc.

That doesn’t mean mean I don’t like my work – most top achieving entrepreneurs love their work – but it is usually hard work nonetheless.

Unfortunately, there’s this big movement being taught in success books that all you have to do is think positive thoughts and everything will come to you automatically. Wealth. Happiness. Sunshine. And Rainbows. Everything good in life.  making money online

Being generally optimistic is important.

In addition to having a positive attitude, you have got to work at it.  People will tell you to think positive and you’ll get positive results. This is true to a certain degree.  I most definately employ this idea in my work, But they forget to mention that along with a positive attitude you also need a solid work ethic.

It’s easy to understand why the “easy” message sells much better than the “work hard” one. Who doesn’t want to take the easiest path? We all do.

Henry David Thoreau once said,The cost of anything is measured by the amount of life you’re willing to exchange for it.”

Bottom line, if you want to be successful in your business, you have got to work at it. making money online

The people who have paid the largest price, in terms of the sacrifice, the commitment, the dedication, the hours they’ve put into their enterprises… those entrepreneurs are the people who are likely to ultimately experience the success they are seeking.

There’s a fascinating story about Bill Gates that I think illustrates this point.

He went to a Mercedes dealer to pick up a new Mercedes and one of the first things he told them was, “I want you to take the radio out of it.”

Puzzled as to why Bill Gates would want to remove the radio from his brand new car, they asked him why. He had them remove the radio simply because he didn’t want any distractions. While he would drive to and from his office, he wanted to stay focused on his work.

Now that is an extreme example, but it represents a man who was totally into his vision. He didn’t want anything to get in the way of his focus on his business goals.

Look, if you really want to make a lot of money, you can’t just have a positive attitude.

You’ll have to focus on and work hard in your business, just like Bill Gates. making money online

U.S. President Abraham Lincoln once put it, “Good things come to those who wait, but only what’s left over from those who hustle.”

It’s true. So get out there and hustle to make your business everything you want it to be.

Don’t Fire Your Boss Yet!

For an entrepreneur with ‘improbable’ and ‘impossible’ dreams, the alleged stability that comes from getting ‘a real job’ is nothing but a sign of slavery. ~Fabrizio Moreira.seth godin job

Normally people who wish to have their own business talk about their present job as if it is the worst thing in the world – a complete inconvenience where they get underpaid, overworked, their boss is greedy and taking home all the rewards.

Having had the experience of both… there are many positive aspects to having a job versus owning your own business.

For most people they ought to be thankful for their job, and thankful they don’t need to make a living by producing value in their own business (because the world would come tumbling down).

I’ve watched many people over the years talk about how much their job sucked.

Complaints about not being paid enough, made to work way too hard for too many hours, and talk about the day they were going to leave it all behind.

Finally they’d work up the courage to quit, show their resentment for the job in how they resigned (very short notice, with no thanks given), then proudly proclaim to everyone on Facebook that today was day they were free – today was the day they had ‘fired their boss’ and were going start a business and make their millions.

Fast forward 6 months, they’d be asking if their job was still available.

So before you quit your job and tell your boss to go to hell, lets discuss a few things.

First, most people quit their day job because of the time excuse; they feel they don’t have enough time to work on their business.

making money onlineI don’t really agree with this.  There’s always time.  It’s a matter of getting your priorities in order.  I would get up at 5am to get a blog post written before going to work.  I would post it and then when I got back, would followup by sending to directories and other sources.

All of us have 24 hours in the day – whether you’re Warren Buffet or a homeless beggar. It’s about priorities.

In order to start a business, you’ve got to move that business into one of your top three priority slots. The closer it is to THE most important thing in your life, the better you will usually do.

You should always be looking for opportunities during the day to accomplish useful work for your business.

This is what you need to think, “if I HAD to get this done given the time I currently have available, how would I do it?”  If there’s no choice but to get it done, amazingly somehow you’ll always find the time.

Using your job as a scapegoat holds no weight.  “I don’t have the time” is not valid anymore.  Find a way to get a few extra hours out of the day to do money producing activities in your business.

Which brings me to my next point…      making money online

Get sales coming in and replace part of your job income, before you go and quit.

It’s plain stupid to go quit a job and start a business when you haven’t even demonstrated to yourself you can get even a few customers.

Prove it to yourself first, by seeing whether people will actually pay you money for your idea or whatever you are selling.   All that matters is, has anyone actually handed you cash for it yet?

If not, you have to keep working on it.

It’s a good idea to wait till your business is almost matching the salary from your job, before you quit your job. Once you have a couple of good months where your business earned you at least 75 percent of what your regular job did, that’s a pretty good time to jump in with both feet.

And don’t quit your job because of one great customer.  Don’t get overexcited after finding your first hyper-responsive client and give up your existing income, because if something happens to that one person then you’ll have a problem.

I will admit, it has been hard for me. Many times I wanted to quit my job and dedicate 100% of my time to my online business.  I did not.  I just kept working and making my business a priority till one day the gates of prosperity opened up for me!

And here I am doing what I love to do and making money every day.

Extroverts Scroll On – Introverts Read This!

“You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action.” —Tony Robbins

If you identify yourself as an introvert, you might feel a little out of your comfort zone doing online marketing.

Just look around around, and everyone’s putting themselves out there on video, sharing their entire lives through Instagram stories, putting on webinars and branding themselves online. Some are even speaking on stage.

Making the big bucks in this business seems to be something which comes much more naturally to extroverts.    online marketing

That does not have to be the case.  Plenty of introverts lead company’s and dominate their industries.

I myself am a definate introvert. I get my pal James to do videos for me and I run them.  He loves to do videos.

In the beginning, doing all this online marketing stuff was not something which came naturally to me.  In those first few years, I couldn’t even make a video without feeling way outside my comfort zone (so for those first few years I did zero video marketing). And that is still the case.

And as for speaking on stage – you can hold a gun to my head, and I still will not want to do it.  There is no way in hell I am ever going to get up on stage in front of large crowds of people – it just won’t happen.

So I started with marketing channels I felt I could do more anonymously, where I could perfect my message.

Like email marketing.  Or writing blog post.

Out of all the people around me, I was one of the last to even get a Facebook account – and I only did it because I thought I could make money with it.

Those 3 channels were pretty much it for me.

I really admire the people who put themselves out there and do it! Our business is growing by leaps and bounds and we have to grow with it or be left behind.  Now talking about me, I am pushing myself every day to do what I have to do and the more I do, the more money I make and the more motivated I get.

For example, I started writing this morning at 5am.  Who the hell gets up to write at that time or much less has the inspiration at that time?

Now video marketing.  Where there is a will there is a way.  I do not like to get in front of a camera, so I pay my friend James to do it.  He does a fabulous job and he loves it.

Now doing videos is pretty effortless.  I have to write up the material and the camera is a rolling! online marketing

What I am trying to tell you is that we have to keep up with the industry to get our message out there. Sometimes you have to think out of the box.  But it works.

If you don’t like doing videos… then use Camtasia and record your screen, and then just speak over the top of the footage and teach something.

If you don’t want to share too much of yourself on social media, then make all your content about other people and case studies.

But either way, if you want to earn good money and build your business you’ve got to be willing to put your content and brand out there.

If you are going to be successful in the internet marketing world you have to get out there and do it!

Sounds like a comercial right?  But this is the honest truth.  Thank you for reading.

Print These Off and Pin Them Up – The Only 3 Ways To Build Your Business

“Sustaining a successful business is a hell of a lot of work, and staying hungry is half the battle.”

~ Wendy Tan White

We Should keep one thing in mind and ponder it often. That business, despite us entrepreneurs doing everything we can to overcomplicate it, is actually quite simple.

If you can manage to get the correct ducks in a row, you will make a lot of money.

Ponder this, there’s really just 3 basic ways to build your business:

Get more first-time customers to find you.
Get your current customers to come back and spend more money.
Get your customers to spend more money each time they buy.
Nothing more to think about. Those are the 3 basic ways.

Get more new customers.

Do more business with your existing customers. And/or increase your average ticket size.

Whenever you get confused, go back to the basics.

Those 3 things are worth printing off in big letters, and pinning up in your office as a constant reminder.    build your business

We are all guilty of this, as a business owner we get stuck on the first method, constantly chasing after new customers, but never thinking about the other 2 methods of increasing sales.

Unfortunately, getting new customers is like pedaling a bike up a steep hill on a hot day. It’s tough, sweaty work, and you may have to get off the bicycle and walk it up the hill for a while. You have to do it, but it can be a real chore.

On the other hand, reselling to existing customers is like coasting down the opposite slope of that hill.

To be honest many business people including me, fail to realize that all the profits are in the last two business-building methods.

They’re not building long-term relationships with customers, and they’re certainly not making those people enough additional offers. Because of all that, they’re losing money that could be theirs. build your business

Food for thought. I hope you enjoyed reading my ideas about business.

Tweak The Ketchup But Don’t Make It Green Or Purple

“Profit in business comes from repeat customers, customers that boast about your project or service, and that bring friends with them.”

                                                                   ~ W. Edwards Deming

Do you know what the secret is to making massive profits is?

The big secret to making massive profits is to get your best customers to buy from you again and again, for the maximum profit per transaction.

If you can do this with a large enough group then you can kiss your financial worries good bye.  It’s that simple. Maximum profitability comes from reselling to your existing customers.  That is the secret key!

The solution is to keep finding new ways to give your customers the something similar to what you gave them before, but with a new twist added each time. online marketing

If your products and services are thought as old hat, your customers will be bored—and bored people never buy. There’s a saying that goes, “whatever’s current creates currency.” It’s true.

Now you have to be careful because if the product or service that you are offering is too new and different than what they’re used to, they won’t buy then, either.

Many will be afraid to do so. Well then, you have to develop and deliver new products and services that seem innovative and exciting, but nonetheless contain familiar themes your customers are already comfortable with buying from you.

If you sell ketchup, don’t suddenly try to sell mustard. Sell them new varieties of ketchup. Even then, don’t make it too different! online marketing

A slightly spicier red ketchup will sell better than even the tastiest green or purple ketchup (proven fact).

What I am trying to say is, you then need to offer them old wine in new bottles. Most people are searching for variations on a theme, not a completely new theme.

Always think about this: They have already proven their interest in what your selling by giving you their money in the first place. People let you know what’s what with their pocketbooks.

Take a close look at the products, services and promotions that have brought you money and realize that somewhere within those products, services, and marketing campaigns are the things that your best customers (and prospects just like them) value the most.

Study this and determine what those common themes are, and then consider adding those to the items you develop in the future.

The newness will attract your customer’s attention, while the old and familiar will hold that attention by making them feel comfortable with your new offer.

When you learn how to apply this idea properly, you can keep offering your best clients and customers the same basic types of products and services again and again—which means all the prep work is easier.

You can reuse a lot of the same sales materials, simply tailoring them to the new offerings. You gain enormous leverage because your “new” products and services are really your “old” products and services with new twists.

I learned this from my mentor James. He is very good at doing exactly this and making money every time.

Keep tweaking and adding new elements to your best products, services and promotions. Constantly be looking for ways to make your best products and services appear new, different, and special.  That way, you can keep using the sales materials you’ve used in the past, with slight (but vital) modifications to make them look and feel different.

Keep giving them more of what you know they want the most, and you’ll make more money with less work.

Drive Your Customers Crazy With Hot New Promotions

“If you are crazy enough to do what you love for a living then you are bound to create a life that matters”                                                                      herb kelleher

                              ~Herb Kelleher

                    ex-CEO of Southwest Airlines

This is part 2 of my post dated May 10, 2018.

We were talking about generating ideas to grow our business.

Jotting down everthing that came into our minds. Brainstorming from small to big ideas. From insignificant to major ideas.  Throwing them all in a pot and then sifting threw.

Once you come up with a bunch of ideas, you can then begin to separate the best from the rest. What are the best ideas?

They’re the ones that stand the greatest chance of making you the most money in the fastest time and for the longest period of time.

It may be difficult to come up with winning ideas, but just let the creative juices flow. What may seem small at first glance could possibly grow into something huge. A break through ideas

It might be a good idea to put yourself in your customers shoes. Practice empathy—the most important characteristic of any marketer.

From a marketing context, empathy simply means developing a deeper understanding of the very best prospects in your market. Considering things like:

  • Why would someone buy what you sell?
  • What is it that they are looking for?
  • What are their biggest fears, failures, and frustrations?
  • What problems if any keep them up at night?
  • What is it they desire the most?
  • What items have they gone the craziest over in the past, and why?
  • Why do your best customers keep doing business with you?
  • What are they looking for that they’re not finding?
  • What benefits excite them the most?
  • What are your most successful competitors doing right?
  • What are your most successful competitors doing wrong?
  • What ideas are working phenomenally well for others in your marketplace?

marketing strategiesAll good questions that you need to ask yourself.

These questions unlock the creative part of your mind; and as per Tony Robbins “whenever you ask a better question, you get a better answer”.

The best way to come up with a lot of good ideas is to constantly brainstorm, constantly drilling deeper and coming up with even more ideas.

Do this consistently and you’ll have all the ideas for promotions that make people want to do business with you.

Rememeber that some times imagination is worth more than knowledge.
